Infinity Ward's Mackey McCandlish has said that the prospect of dedicated server support eventually being included in the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 isn't "off the table" and that the team is "always evaluating (their) options".

When asked directly whether dedicated servers for the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 would be coming later on, McCandlish dodged the question stating, "Our main focus right now is on making sure the game will work well when it is released (on all platforms)."

But when asked again later in the chat, McCandlish offered fans a glimpse of hope.

"Our goal is to provide the best experience for our users, so nothing is ever 'off the table'. We are always evaluating our options."

Modern Warfare 2 hit the headlines a couple of weeks back when it was revealed that the PC version game wouldn't include dedicated server support, instead relying on Infinity Ward's new IWnet to provide matchmaking.

The news understandably upset quite a few dedicated fans who blasted IW's proposed service and prompted over 180,000 annoyed PC gamers to sign a petition in the hope of getting dedicated server support put back in the game.
Gelogd

Grass grows, birds fly, sun shines,
And brother I hurt people.
I'm a force of nature.
If you were from where I was from,
you'd be fucking dead.
